Whatever Happened to Diana Trask is a wonderful autobiography on the life of famous country singer Diana Trask. Diana was born in Melbourne, Australia and at the age of nineteen flew to the USA to try her luck in the entertainment business. Diana starred in the television series Sing Along with Mitch on NBC and recorded albums for Columbia Records with Mitch Miller prior to becoming a country singer. Diana was invited to sing for both President Ford and Vice President Johnson. Walt Disney shocked Diana when he said, “It is such a pleasure to meet you.” During the early 1970’s she headlined in Las Vegas in shows with standing room only, appearing with Roy Clark and her very good friend and teacher Danny Thomas. She had many hit songs on the Country Billboard charts and performed in venues such as the famous Grand Ole Opry House. Diana toured many country towns in the Southern states of the USA and lived in Tennessee for many years. She also toured overseas with artists such as Glen Campbell, Sammy Davis Jr and Hank Snow Jnr. Diana’s hit songs include Lean It All on Me, Say When, Oh Boy, Country Bumpkin, Long Ago Last Summer, Empty Chairs, Jesse, Stand by your Man and many others. In 1969 Diana was nominated for a Grammy Award for her version of, I Fall to Pieces. Diana recorded many country albums and was given the title Miss Country Soul. As a songwriter, Diana wrote I Think About your Lovin’ which became a hit for the Osmond Brothers.
